Taru Martani Coffee & Resto 1918

This is 1 of the destinations in my "Jogja list". Has been fascinated with its history. There are not many cigar factories that have a cafe within its compound, certainly not in Indonesia. The cafe seems to be popular, by the streams of visitors. Serving varieties of coffee & snacks, it has a sheltered sitting area, pavilions & open space under shady trees. Of course, you are able to smoke freely there . The service was not too bad, quick enough. The cafe doesn't carry the full range of cigars that are produced from the factory, but the staff refer me to a factory office where I got the more premium range. I was not disappointed with the range!!! I actually visited this place twice within 3 days

Having a cup of coffee in an outdoor cafe, inside the yard of a closed cigar factory, brings a certain different feeling. They put cigar paper and chopped tobacco leave at several spots in the cafe, and guests could try to roll a cigar by themselves. May be they try to keep the cigar factory heritage. They opens daily and closed only the first day of Lebaran. The coffee and ginger kombucha that we tried were good.

What a great place to spend your time, having a cup of coffee, also they had a local tobacco for you to purchase or even try! The coffee tasted great. It's clean, had an outdoor and indoor (no ac) tables. The toilets aren't clean... What a shame. But their service are good!

This place is at the same area with the famous cigar factory under the same name. This place has huge area, many tables, the price is cheap, around 15-30k for main dishes and around 10k for side dishes. They have great service, and has both indoor and outdoor tables to choose from. Worth visiting!

In conclusion, Taru Martani Coffee & Resto 1918 offers a combination of good food, lively ambiance, and entertainment. While the food might not be groundbreaking, the overall experience and vibe make it a suitable destination for those looking to have a great time with friends in a dynamic setting.

This shop is located in the yard of cigar factory. The cigar factory itself has been standing since 1918, so for you who are craving for coffee shop or restaurant with vintage atmosphere, I recommend you this place. Here, you can have coffee from manual brew and latte. You can also have non coffee drinks such as tea, milkshake, and squash. If you're hungry, don't worry, this place also serves main-courses and snacks which are enough to kill your hunger. The prices of the menu here are affordable. You can also do your task here since they provide free wifi for customers. If you look for live music, this place often presents live music from afternoon 'til night. There are a toilet and washbasins here. This place has a very wide parking area that can contains many cars and motorcycles, it' s guarded of course. Over all, it's a nice place to have coffee or to eat out.

Taru Martani Coffee & Resto 1918 offers a decent dining experience. While the food and service weren't exceptional, they were satisfactory. The drinks, however, stood out and were quite good. One major plus point is the ample parking space and the availability of numerous seating options, making it convenient for larger groups. Though there is room for improvement, it's still a nice place to enjoy a meal and relax. All in all, Taru Martani Coffee & Resto 1918 has its strengths, making it worth considering for specific occasions when you need ample space and seating for a big group of people.

The chef here maybe moody person sometimes the food are super, sometimes just so so, and sometimes salty... But the atmosphere are good, at least you have a cozy place to chill here...
